Calling 911. . . are you ready?

There’s more to responding to an emergency than just calling 911. Some things you need to consider include:

  • The ability to recognize an emergency
  • Deciding to help
  • Who is going to respond
  • Are they trained
  • Do they have the right tools to respond (ex: first aid kits, AEDs, etc.)

This program will help participants better understand the limitations of emergency response times by local authorities, recognize the importance of having a properly trained and equipped first responder team, and how to distinguish between a heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest.
