Welcome to the Safety Council of Greater Columbus

The Builders Exchange of Central Ohio (BX) proudly sponsors the Safety Council of Greater Columbus (SCGC). For more than a century, the Exchange has served firms throughout Ohio with a mission to advance the commercial construction industry as the resource for communication, education, services and recognition.

With a membership of nearly 1,000 firms, one of the most valuable BX services in the 21st century is the BX Safety Program. The program assists construction companies with their various safety needs – including OSHA compliance, workers’ compensation issues and most importantly, the well-being of the workforce.

The Safety Council of Greater Columbus is an expansion of the BX’s efforts to meet the safety training needs of all Ohio employers, regardless of their affiliation with the Exchange. In keeping with its mission, if the BX can’t help you, it will find a source that can.

Central Ohio companies are invited to join the Safety Council of Greater Columbus and save up to 4% on workers’ compensation premiums. Councils offer important information on safety and health to improve Central Ohio workplaces.

Companies do not need to be a member of the sponsoring organization — the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio — to participate.
